Project Description

Mohammed Bin Zayed International Robotics Competition 2020

In January 2020 I joined Dr. Sebastian Scherer’s AirLab as an undergraduate research assistant. I worked on the Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC) project. My task was to collect and lab video, train a neural network, and assist in the integration of the network into the team’s detection module. In the demo video you will see my network detecting a drone and a ball while in flight. Our team finished 8th out of 22 teams on the section of the challenge I directly worked on, and 7th overall!
